Our Story

Focus with Passion was founded by Chin-Hwi Ang and James Paterson

to provide support and encouragement to creative, expressive individuals. Both founders are passionate about creative expression - especially in the fields of music, dance and the visual arts.

Chin-Hwi is a professional string musician and educator, serving in

vocational training, youth mentoring and community leadership roles.

James values great outcomes - a trait from his civil engineering and entrepreneurship careers. His mother was a professional ballerina, dance teacher and examiner in New Zealand - James' early introduction to the Arts!

Both Chin-Hwi and James were supported by great Mentors throughout their lives. Through guidance and encouragement, these Mentors were beside them, particularly when things got a little rough.

Focus with Passion is their way of saying 'thanks'

for the magnificence received,

also to honour their fantastic Mentors who gave their time, knowledge and wisdom so willingly.
