Focus with Passion allocates funds to a number of different funding areas:
A nominated sum is allocated to each Funding Round. Once those funds have been committed, that Round closes. Ensure Grant Applications are lodged either before the cut-off date, or before the funds allocated to that particular Round are fully committed.
Grants of between $3,000 and $7,000 are available to applicants who meet our Funding Criteria. Focus with Passion's funding may be invested on items, equipment, or materials that will support the development of the individual's work. These Funds may also be invested in courses, classes, specialist training and other activities that will broaden and enhance their artist expressive abilities.
Though Applications may meet our Grant Allocation criteria, the Funding Round may have been oversubscribed, which means individuals may miss out on that particular Funding Round.
However they can reapply when the next Round opens - the revised Application will reassessed.

Consider what you actually want and how these Grant Funds will be invested.
Example: Are you looking for resource funding, funds for a course, a study tour or masterclass?
We need to understand your vision,
direction and level of passion & commitment
in consideration to receive a Grant.
Record a video interview: engage a close friend to interview you, outlining what you want to do and why. Tell us your story and show your passion!
Tell us about yourself and what brings you here.
Most importantly, explain what has driven you
to pursue this particular path.
All recipients will engage with our Mentorship Program alongside financial support.
One-to-one Mentorship can be
a great support during challenging times.
To ensure all relevant sections are complete,
we recommend that someone fully reviews
your Application in prior to submission.

There are three key criteria that influence the Grant Assessment process.
Develop a clear, concise message as it relates to these three points.
Your Objective needs to be clear so we can provide you with the specific support you seek.
Explain clearly what your Objective entails and how you want to reach it. This may include recording a video. Map out the steps; write a vision statement; create an interactive piece; describe a process; create a mock-up model.
Understanding your Outcome will ensure we provide you with the best support for this stage of your creative journey.
Explain what your Outcome will look like, feel like and what form it will take.
How will you determine when you are on-track /off-track, and when your Outcome is reached?
Upon Grant Approval, your Mentor will work with you to define each stage of this process.
These stages will form the Funding Release Milestones, determining when each portion of your Grant Funding is paid.
Focus with Passion has reporting obligations. Being a not-for-profit charity (providing grants to the cultural development sector), we are required to report where our Grant Finances are spent, who it is given to and how our Recipients have used these Grants.
Once your Creative Project concludes, you are be required to prepare an Acquittal Report, detailing what you achieved and how you spent the Grant Funds. Your Mentor will assist you to prepare this report.
Focus With Passion will launch our Spring Grant Funding Program on 1st September 2026.
