We recommend you check the Grants link at regular intervals so as not to miss a Funding Round. You can also register your interest in applying for funding by registering through the grant's link.
Visit the 'Focus with Passion' website and click on the 'Grants' link at the top of the page.
Review the Grant Application recommendations, and take note of the key assessment criteria used to assess all applications. The 'Apply for a Grant' link will take you to the first stage of the Grant Application process.
A loan is something that generally you have to pay back, often with interest.
A grant is money given to you which you can spend - usually within some form of agreed framework. This isn't required to be paid back, nor must it achieve a specific outcome.
However, you will be expected to use 'best endeavours' and accept support and guidance when provided.
No. Grant Funding does not specifically cover day-to-day expenses. Funding is to be spent on creative enhancing activities such as equipment purchases, specialist classes or skills development programs.
Once your grant is approved, you will be sent a Grant Offer, outlining the Terms and Conditions of the Grant Offer. Upon acceptance of this Grant Offer, you will be introduced to your Mentor - at which time you and your Mentor will review and confirm your Milestone Events. When a milestone event is reached, your mentor will submit a Milestone Report, triggering a funding payment.
The first payment will usually be paid into your bank account within two business days of your first Milestone Report's lodgment. Progressive funding releases will be as agreed with your Mentor, and in accordance with your milestone activities.
There are a number of reasons your application may be rejected, some of which are explained on the Grants link page. For example, you may have failed to explain in adequate detail what your Objective and Outcome entails; both are critical when determining whether an application is approved.
You will be advised the reasons, your Grant Application has been rejected when you are sent the Grant Rejection advice.
In the event that your Grant Application was rejected because all funding in that particular Funding Round was allocated, you can lodge an 'Expression of Interest' form so you can be notified when the next Funding Round is open. If on the other hand, your application was rejected because it did not meet our Grant Funding criteria, you will be advised of the reasons should you consider reapplying.
